Merry Christmas 2009

Recently I read that some French Mistress died of drinking liquid gold. Scientist found it in her DNA. Back then, it was thought that liquid gold was the cure of aging. I remember thinking how ridiculous people act looking for the " fountain of youth." The extremes people go through to stop the clock.

The next week I took my son to a college visit.

I have never been the mother that wants her kids to hurry up and grow up to go away. I want all my chicks in the nest. HELLOOOOOO this coming fall I will have an empty bedroom, stop it and pass me the gold juice!

Alex

( photo courtesy of the Democrat and Chronicle).

Alex is a senior and is thrilling us with being on the news an in the newspaper for his success in basketball. He is also in the honor roll. He has decided to attend Southern Virginia University. He will play basketball and LAX....and I hope study Business. What impresses me most about Alex is that he is still my boy. He texts me during the day, he bursts into my room, sits on my bed talks to me, hugs me and thanks me.

Sarah

Sarah has had a tough year losing 3(and counting) friends to the black hole called UTAH. She has been busy this year singing NOT like a jellyfish as her chorus teacher loves to lecture. Sarah is amazing.I am in awe at her faith and character. She recently tried out for her high schools musical, Beauty and the Beast and we are waiting to hear. Sarah still surprises me by being so responsible and conscientious. She recently had double eye surgery and was more worried about her school work than her eye sight. Umm she was dissecting things!!!! I don't know about you -but I would have and did anything to get out of that. She is working every weekend night babysitting.

Hannah

Hannah is awesome! She is an excellent student and a loving sister to her little brothers and sister. I love to hear her talk to Ben...so sweet. This year her part in the Hill Cumorah Pageant had the biggest impact on our family. Ben still this week talked about the fire. Hannah has a good group of friends, but we miss Chelsea. Hannah loves Dr Who, scary movies and youtube videos of crazy people doing wild things.

Seth

Seth made Cobbles Elementary history by his hard work. He has a year of overcoming. Seth overcame one of his academic stumbling blocks and is jumping in on other trials, overcame his fear of swimming under water, and overcame his messy room! Seth will be saying good bye to cub scouts and hello to Boy Scouts. I love Seth's determination and he is one of the hardest working Williams. Seth did break his elbow this summer and still doesn't have full mobility, but he is working through the pain in physical therapy. We will get it!!!

Emma

Emma started a new school this year . YAY HARRIS HILL !!! Emma is my compassionate diva, loving style and fashion, loving to give love and artwork to all. Emma is nice. Being nice these days is sooo rare. Emma is a excellent swimmer with amazing lines.
This year Emma got baptized and it was wonderful

Emma surprised me this year by becoming interested in math and science.

Andrew

Oh Andrew. You have heard me all year updating you on Andrew's science projects. You would be amazed of the things he freezes to see the "reaction." Most nights I come home to find a new potion on the porch to greet me, when I walk in the door I could find webs of yarn, and pvc pipe/cushion contraptions in the hallways. It is hard for Andrew to do his home work, because coloring reminds him or drawing rockets and planets and gluing reminds him of a new potion.
Currently he goes to bed reading The Big Book of Knowledge a book Alex got at age 10.

Ben

Ben is talking up a storm, loving being part of the family. He is potty trained and rambunctious. He can often be found parroting any one of his older siblings or cuddling someone. He is an night owl and wakes up at 10 am at the earliest. He loves books, his baby cousin,Serenity , and Go Go Diego( which is a character some how related to Dora). Ben and I have time, just him and I when all the others are at school. He thinks it is a major let down, but I love it.

Scott and I

Are trying to remember not allow life's clutter to come between he and I. He is working (happily) still with Fidello and I am still lovin' interpreting at Sorenson VRS (working nights) .
Well if you have gotten to this point in this letter, God Bless you. We hope you have wonderful Christmas.
