While I was at work, I got a txt that Ben "was crying all of the sudden and complaining about his ear." Hannah was able to comfort him until I got home.
He was up quite a bit during the night so I knew (from my 16 yr medical training )it was either an ear infection or he had poked something in his ear. He woke up fine and very rambunctious. NO problem. Ok life went on as normal chaos- well elevated to yellow zone due to Columbus Day
Well over 48 hours later his ear started bleeding out the canal. WHAT?!!!! We never had anything like that happen, so a call went out to the DRS. Again drawing on my medical mom experiences, I thought he HAD either poked his ear with something, something was in it or he had an ear infection so bad that it exploded. I didn't think he could have an ear infection, cuz there was no fever, no complaints of pain and he was FINE acting.
DX
Ear infection that ruptured his ear drum....great.
He didn't even whine.
Now a few days later, all he wants is to be held, so I will gladly oblige!

Poor Baby!!! So sad!!! :(
I had that happen when I was 13, the pain was horrendous for a couple of hours and then it was gone, it ruptured while I slept and I had no idea. I hope he bounces back quickly, poor little guy.
