I love history and learning about places.
This summer we are doing a STAYCATION because of the gas prices. Oh don't get me started on a political rant about that> I think it is an insult to our intelligence. We can put men on the Moon and machines on Mars, but we are too dumb to figure out how to drill in AK, UT, CO and off the Coast AND save a polar bear. AND we allow those smart Chinese to drill off our coast..oh don't get me started...
ANYWAYS we are excited about cousins coming to NY from Spain and UT. I have been thinking of plans we can do. That got me thinking about this area. There is A LOT here from The War 1812 and Susan B. Anthony to Fredrick Douglas and the Underground Railroad. The Erie Canal to the Church Sites.

Texas- what is it like in TX? All I know is that they have locus crossing signs and I made a deal with a friend from Conroe,Tx if we were not married by our 30th birthdays- we'd get married. He had the same birthday as me, but I can't even remember his name. We did speak with each other on our 30th birthday.....Max? Yep
Who settled Gilbert, AZ....MR Gilbert?
Why is Appleton apple ton? Is there Apples by the ton there?
