My Three

You know how they say bad things happen in three. Here are my three. A little vent- so skip if want to.
1. Ruby, our sweet puppy is sick. She got very sick and her back end ended up being paralyzed for a short time. It turns out that she has something called HOD. She had a reaction to her shots. Because we caught it early, she should be fine, but it will be on going until she stops growing.
She spent 3 days at the Animal hospital.

2. I was sick for 5 days. I still feel yucky. Sore throat (strep) , fever, couldn't lift my head except with the help of 6-8 ibprofen. Taking antibiotics and will live to fight another day.

3. Last night Benjamin was screaming in pain in the tub. He had eaten tomato sauce and we thought it didn't agree with him. I noticed a ping-pong ball size lump protruding from his groin. I called Scott and he looked at it. We were perplexed.

Several hours later and bright and early this morning we left the ER to find that little Ben has a hernia. We have to go meet with a Ped Surgeon .

We had to go to the ER ' cuz the doctors weren't sure if it was entangled with his bowels. Nice.
The last ER Dr wanted to make absolutely sure it wasn't, so that took hours and hours and hours and...............
I finally said we were leaving, cuz I am still sick and had had enough of the "Is he allergic to anything? Are there any daily meds he takes? What brings you here?" questions.

I said "Gimme drugs or shoot me, cuz see the end of my rope- I've past it!!!!!"

I know- bad mother.

I was assured that he was going to live and didn't need immediate surgery- so we left.
He is resting comfy in his bed and I off to shower and we will take him in.
Lol gotta laugh.
