Becca's Baby Shower

Becca and Greg are having a baby.... a little girl,Serenity.
That makes me smile.
It will be hard for them to be so young and have a new little one. Greg is very kind to Becca and I love watching him with her. He will be a good Dad and Becca has been preparing all her life to be a good Mom.
Becca and Greg did not take the easy road or the expected road to get to this point. They have, however, proven their critics wrong. Some of those critics being the very ones they needed to depend on the most, for love.
They were sealed in the Temple and Serenity will enjoy the blessings of that.
I haven't always agreed with their choices, but my focus has been to help them to succeed. It may be easier for me because I am not intimately involved as much as some.
I truly think that both Becca and Greg have experienced some of the most hurtful things said to them from people.....love ones, yet they seem easily and fast to forgive. Not a trait I have. I still...well.... I will just say if you only knew what has been said and done ....grrrr!

I decided to throw Becca a shower not only because I love her and want to honor her and Greg's decision to raise an eternal family, but because I want them to succeed... and already love Serenity. She will be spoiled by me.
Becca is a seamstress at heart and by heritage.
I am not....it is NOT in my blood.
Even though this was hard for me to do, I wanted to give Becca a quilting bee of a shower. Interestingly, it was her high school friends that were the most into it.
