Blue Cross Blue Shield

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh bureaucracy. We buy our insurance and it isn't cheap, nor smooth sailing. Every once and a while we have to go down town to fix a customer service issue or "never received it" issue. The kids love seeing the skyscrapers, it is a thrill for them.

I have Scott bring me to avoid parking. See, there is a little drop off in front of the BCBS bldg, but if it is filled Scott circles the block until a spot opens. Today we hit jackpot and got a space right away.

Inside BCBS there is "art." It's a ball contraption that my boys love. It is interesting to watch and helps pass the waiting time.

When all else fails, there are always free escalator rides.

When I was a little girl, we used to go Sibley's to see Santa. Riding escalators was a big deal, along with getting clear balloons with a red Santa balloon inside, and kazoos.
One time a lace from my shoe got caught in the end of the escalator, and I was sure this monstrous machine would eat my leg and eventually devour ME! My brother, Bruce, to the rescue. He grabbed me from the clutches of the hungry beast.
Bruce almost was needed today.

After our fright, Dad's have a way of making thing better with an egg or french toast grand slam breakfast.

I also have fear of my kids being eaten by the escalator.
