Sickness, Injury,Warts, Hernia, Lice, Mice, and Twilight

Here is a sample of what I have had to deal with this week.

Colds and fevers. Ear Infections and bronchitis.

Two weeks ago I injured my right wrist. Ya know the one I make my living off of.

Andrew got his warts "fixed." The dermatologist said that because the freezing isn't working...they would put this medicine on it to make it blister and go away. Well 10 blisters on a little boy makes it impossible for him to walk and be comfortable.

We went to the Ped Surgeon. Ben has a hyper seal hernia( means there is fluid trapped in it.)He will be having another hernia surgery. Right now it is scheduled for Dec 8 th, but if there is a cancellation- he will go sooner.

I got a call from the school nurse- there has been 10 kids in my son's class...including my son. Yay. I have not found any live lice, and we did find nits on two. We are clean now.....
We shaved heads, did a treatment, vacuumed the house furniture and cars, we got the CSI Lice Master Comb and have been checking EVERYONE We are clean but I am still vacuuming and cleaning.

And we have at least one mouse.

Sigh

On my way to Twilight

When I was teaching, my dad told me to get flea and tick shampoo for dogs or puppies. I use it proactively on my kids everytime a letter comes home from school that lice has been found in the classroom. Knock on wood, but we have never had lice. Last yeAr in Bea's class three letters came home in the first two weeks and I found out the school was completely infested. The dog shampoo is a heck of a lot cheaper and according to my dad more effective.
Good luck with everything.
