Goin' to Preschool

We weren't going to do preschool with Andrew. I wanted him to go to the YMCA's program, so I went bright and early (7:30am) on registration day last February. I got there 1/2 hour after the doors opened and I was 15 on the waiting list. I checked out other programs and of course thought about the AWESOME program my other children had attended.

I just didn't want to spend all that time driving back and forth and spend all that $$$$$.

We decided to sign him up for one Friday class at the the Y and Story Time at the library and call it done. Then I got a call that we could have a slot in the afternoon program at the YMCA. MWF from 12:30 to 3. It's under 50$ a month, so I took it!

Andrew was up before 6 am "ready for school" today. The original Friday class I had signed him up for, included a lunch time. He wasn't very happy that he wouldn't get to use his Spiderman lunchbox at preschool like the other class had boasted. He and Dad had a special lunch together and I packed them a lunch in the Spiderman lunchbox. Here are the highlights:

As we pulled into the YMCA he yelled "MOM WHY ARE YOU TAKING ME TO THE YMCA?!!"

It didn't even phase him to get right in the swing of things.

On Wednesdays they will do Science experiments (is this really a good idea???) and Fridays they will swim for 1/2 hour.
