It occurred to me reading Jan's blog that although I have bee thinking a lot about 911 lately and researching it, I didn't do a remembrance post. It also occurred to me that I don't have a link to Jan's blog on my blog. I am getting to it.
I have also written a little bit more on my thoughts on my other blog
I remember that day. I was homeschooling Alex to get him up to speed. My friend Deborah called me and told me to watch the TV. She started telling me what was going on as I made my way to the family room. I was in a stupor. The first plane had hit and smoke billowed. As we a stood there in awe and talked we watched the second plane hit. I remember asking her? Did you just see that? and She asking me at the same time-" Did a second plane....?
I hung up and went right to the school to get my kids. The school actually wanted us not to get our kids as to not scare them. I took my kids anyway. I needed to be home and as a family.
There are many images that were shocking about that day, but I want remember this most of all.

Lol is this your way of politely saying that it wasn't you that called? I remember it being you, but... I am sleep deprived.

We were both shocked watching the second plane...and being like it that a second plane or a re-run.
Thanks for the post! They get fewer and fewer each year it seems. I, too, am proud to be an infidel!
