Grandpa's Tire swing

Grandpa has a tradition of installing tire swings at our house for the kids. He did it in our first house in the Village and he did here too.

Joe put it up here a few weeks after we acquired the home...even before we moved in. Grandpa says he put it up to "keep the kids occupied while we made the house livable". There has been glee ever since.

Several, several, SEVERAL children have experienced hours of thrills and excitement on Grandpa's tire swing.

He came over today to help make cigar box guitars, but was distracted when little girls whispered/giggled in his ear,

"We are going on the tire swing, Grandpa".

He knew that was code for....

'C'mon push us really high'!

Here is Joe with a few of his grandchildren today.....

What a great thing to do for your kids. I have great memories of swinging for hours on the tire swing in Mexico.
