I guess it was a secret to some that this year Sarah was accepted into the Eastman School of Music. She auditioned for their Youth Choir, made it and has had a great year.
It is fun because she has an U of R student id card and gets a report card (she had a theory class). She is actually on the Dean's list. She has a 3.96 grade point averaged because she missed a rehearsal to go to a family thing.
Sarah has an amazing voice. Last year was accepted into the BACH choir. Here is a promo her voice is in.( and here is another)She did not have a pleasant experience there and actually started to hate singing. The BCC taught her immensely, but it just wasn't a match for her and our family.
She was one of the few children (only three, I think) that was asked to sing with a famous Jazz singer.
Eastman changed..brought back her love for singing. It was fun, she learned a lot, and could really express herself in music, and was encouraged to reach heights in her training that she could not have imagined. Ok maybe she could imagine...
Saturday was her last concert of the year and last ever in the the Youth Choir. Next year she will be in the High School Choir and Chamber Singers at Eastman.
Here are some highlights.
Okay This is my first time using my camera as a video, I ran out of battery, and I am sobbing like a baby after the first note. The point of this video is to hear my beautiful Bella sing....
ok I can't get the sound to work on the video so I will post it later
