Benjamin has the stomach thing

Well, here I am waiting to see if the meds that the doctor has given Benjamin with stop the throwing up, or if we are headed to the ER at Strong Hospital. We are waiting for blood tests too.

The vomit is slowing down which is a great sign. I hope it has slowed enough, although having him pumped with IV fluids knowing that he is no longer at risk would be reassuring too.

Sometimes being a parent is tough; watching little ones uncomfortable, the worry, and the ignorance of not knowing what to do. I hate the waiting most of all.

He is such a peanut .

I wish he'd just drink any of the zillion of things I bought (gator aid, pedi lyte, jello, Popsicles, juice, soup, kool aid....) .
He is even pushing away nursing.
That is a true sign!!!!! He wishes he could nurse 24/7.

He'll be fine.
Just drink, baby!

OH I'm so sorry Heather! THe Sunday after my mom went in the hospital, Eli(3) had a fever of 105 and was throwing up the antibiotics and the motrin. He refused to eat for about 3 days and I was terrified for him. Luckily, he cooled off with sponge bathing and we finally got tylenol in him, but he had that fever for 5 days. He's great now (okay, he has pink eye -- but no fever!) I'm sure Benjamin will be fine. Kids are resilient.

I am sorry he is so sick. It is hard, especially when they won't drink. That is scary. I hope he is doing better now.
