beware conspiring men

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

Here is my try.
I can not sit down and shut up.
I love America too much.
I am bothered by the outcome of FLA. Florida is a trouble maker.

If John Mc Cain becomes the delegate of my party, which failing a huge upset he will , I will not have a leader whom I agree with at all.
Mitt Romney frankly, I don't think has the numbers.

What bothers me the most is that there are....

There are wolves in sheep clothing.

The other candidates in the Republican Primary are actually against one candidate, Mitt Romney. That alone should say something.

It is purely a personal attack on Romney. These men, whom wanted the highest office in the USA and possibly the world, are acting like junior high school girls upset about a boyfriend being threatened. The claws are out and all we can hear is "rrrrrreooeow"

It is also the fault of the press, The Democrats, the "Moderate" meaning Liberal Republicans...

it is EVIL and wrong for America.

Mike Huckabee is actually staying in the race SOLELY siphon votes away from Romney. He doesn't want what is best for America, he wants to take Romney out at all cost. He is the Pero of 2008. It is all about, not ROMNEY. It makes me sick.
Huckabee is a wolf.

Is it because he is a Mormon? Then we are no better off than pre revolution and the South are religious bigots.

Here is what is going on:

John Mc Cain is a lot of things but he is NOT a conservative. He is for open boarders, CANAMEXIAMERICANA, increase taxes, pro environmental laws...meaning anti using our oil and depending on forge in and "green" alternatives...nuclear not being one of them, and anti military. That is his record. Read it.

What John Mcain thinks

John Mcain's legislations

Why the personal attacks againist Romney- because Romney has a record of cleaning up scandals...IE the Olympics. He has experience of eliminating the way of life of many in the government now.
Simply put put, the Emperor needs clothes and Romney isn't just saying it, he will will make sure they fit.
People's -who make their living off our backs-way of life is threatened. Thay have a pretty comfy life. That is why the Founding Fathers wanted politicians NOT to be paid. They feared that the leaders would forget who they SERVED. We now work for them

The Media likes John Mc Cain because he is a liberal and they are too. They hate conservatism, so they are promoting him. They are so excited about last night that they almost peed their pants. I am sick of pee ( see post below).

The Democrats want John Mc Cain because if their guy doesn't win- he is one of them anyways. He just has an R after his name- who cares. With him, it doesn't matter what letter he wears- wolf.

The other Republicans in the Primary like him for two reasons-

one they are all liberal and two he is NOT Romney.

Mike Huckabee doesn't have a conservative record, but tried to get away with pretending to be one by using the Southern Preacher card...almost as successful as the race card. Good thing we saw through him.

Mitt Romney is not a true conservative either, BUT he is 100% closer than any of the candidates running on either side of the aisle.
Ron Paul is a close second, yes I said it. Look at his record. I actually like him, except a few things. He doesn't have a snowball's chance, but he is very good on several key issues.

ROMNEY IS OUR ONLY HOPE FOR THE ECONOMY

If you like the security at the Superbowl this weekend, Thank Romney...it is what he designed. He designed the plan after 200,1 so that Bush could go to the Olympics.

The other problem I have is that these states that choose delegates, DON"T speak for America. Fla is a Southern NY- socialist. NYers got older and tired of the cold. They all went to FLA to better weatehr and to benifit their no income tax. NOW Cuba owns half and Comi Libs rule the other.
AZ is full of people who were told to avoid the pollen and go west- problem is they brought their lawns and flowers with them and their minds are still clouded. Except you Jen.

So if Obama wins and it is McCain, Both Obama and Mc Cain will ruin the economy that is already spiraling or
Obama will be puppet of the special interest groups that he owes. Who ever he owes the most will be runing the country....not him. Obama is too inexperiencedhis draw is that the hungry wolves can mold him to fit their needs.

McCain is running out of money too though-so there is light.

If it is Mc Cain Clinton...oh I shutter the thought.

Sooooooooooooooo

We should all be mad at teh current system. I mean pick up a pitch fork or a gun while you still have one. Let's throw some tea.

This is dirty politics at best.

We are allowing OTHERS, with an ugly agenda, than the American people choose the candidate to lead the American people. Hate it.

Edmund Burke never said that. No one has. It is an urban legend in the world of quoting. It is in none of his works. Don't quote anything you can't cite. :)

actually it is my understanding that it came from The Cause of Present Discontent written in near the time of the Reveloution. This is where he also said something to the effect of

when bad me combine good must associate, or they will fall one by one.

I could be wrong

The full quote for that is:

When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.

And while the other quote may have derived from this quote, it does not have the same meaning. Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents was written in 1770 about the state of politics in England at the time. The quote calls for Whigs to form into a political party to maintain hold of the Parliament against a new group called the Tories. "bad men" and "good" are used subjectively as Burke was a Whig. The 1770s-80s was where British politics moved from there just being schools of thought to organized political groups and parties. (Burke is considered very instrumental in this transition.)

Much to my dismay, Ronald Reagan even misused the real quote (to his credit he didn't use the "fake" one).

Fourth from last paragraph

Here he uses it to say we need to form stronger armies.

Eighth paragraph

Here he uses it to justify the invasion of Granada. Ironically Reagan says Burke "championed the cause of American independence ", which technically could be true, he did express some support for the grievances the colonies had filed, but he was strictly opposed to the proposition of the sovereignty of the colonies. In the end Burke only used the "civil war" as a platform against certain Tory politicians, particularly Lord North, the Prime Minister at the time.

So here we have a quote that has been twisted into one of the most misquoted quotes ever, about maintaining political power and forming strong political parties, used by President Reagan to justify the increased military presence in foreign countries, and now used by my aunt to express her disgust with American politics. :(

Edmund Burke may have said some profound things at times, but he was still a politician.

now I know you are crazy!!!!

RONALD W. REAGAN never made a mistake.... and ketchup is a vegetable....at least in my house.

I took off the Edmund Burke as the sayer f the quoate in case Jacob is right.
Jacob all you say about this entry is that...how disappointed I am. I am actually realy like Ron Paul, except one or two ideals. I was expecting you to speak up for him.

from LORI

I agree, the libs are trying to throw this election in their favor. McCain hasn't done anything worthy in 30 years, why would he now? So he was a pow, great, he was willing to die for his country, good for him. However, he won't pull out of the campaign trail for the good of the country, so he's not that patriotic.

McCain IS a wolf in wolves clothing! Merely a puppet with nothing to offer the USA that the libs aren't already promising if they are elected.

Mitt Romney can offer the refreshment our country thirsts for. A return to goodness and security... at least for a little while.
