WOW

okay I am not going to lie. I have been having a hard time lately. I haven't felt...well anyway I am struggling with some very personal, spiritual issues. I have avoided the Church for more than a month or so using any and all excuses not to go. I accepted a calling that I was grateful was only once a month, because frankly then I could take a break.
I just need a break...with everything(and maybe some sleep).

We are having the sisters over for Christmas Eve. While I bake the ham and peel the potatoes, wrap the presents....
I asked my children to write down their testimonies for the Books of Mormon we will give them
Here is what they wrote

"This is the Book of Mormon. It is true. How do we know that? We have read it and
prayed about it together as a family and individually too.

This book of scripture, with the Bible, brings the Spirit of the Lord into our
home. In this day and age where the world is crazy, everyone needs the Spirit!

Alex age 15. “I know that there in a God, because I have seen the answers to my prayers.
I know that the scriptures help me to be a better person..”

Sarah age 13 “I am a daughter of God. I know that for a fact. There is no doubt in my mind that the missionaries preach the LORD”S message..His Gospel.
The scriptures have made a very big and good influence in my and my family's life.
I pray that the missionaries will be able to spread the Gospel to this who need
it the most.”

Hannah age 11 “I know that the Church is true and
I know that I will visit the Temple when I am twelve. I know Heavenly Father
loves me and cares about me.
I enjoy reading the scriptures. I am now trying to read them in Spanish.
I love my Heavenly Father.”

Seth age 8 “I know that the Church is true because I have seen many miracles
from God happen in the world. I feel the Spirit some times. I felt it after I was baptized.
It was a warm happy feeling. I listen to the Prophets are right. My favorite part in the
Book of Mormon is when Samuel the Lamanite goes and tell the people to repent. They
hate that and try to shoot arrows at him, but they can't get him because God doesn't let them. He is not afraid to do what is right even though he might die and I want to be that way too (see Helaman 13-15)”

Emma age 6. “I know that the Book of Mormon is true. Right now we are reading
about the Jaradites. They came here when the Tower of Babble was made. Heavenly Father
allowed them to understand each other because they prayed. God answers prayers.
Do you know that Jesus came to the children.? I love that because I am a kid
and HE loves me. ( see Ether 1 and 3 Nephi)”

Andrew age. “I love Jesus. He is my friend and I pray to Him. He is my friend.”
